The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thē Ŵhïppętś's Romeo Lemerond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Read in the 6th minute of play. After 8th play minutes Erwin Schrödinger shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Romeo Lemerond and just under the crossbar into goal. Romeo Lemerond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Schrödinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Purple Cobras's Abraham Read sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeo Lemerond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeo Lemerond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Read in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Thē Ŵhïppętś defense, Lee Acton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Lemerond. The Thē Ŵhïppętś fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Lemerond should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Stu Hislop ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Lemerond was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Thē Ŵhïppętś! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Purple Cobras. Connor Graves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romeo Lemerond. 0-4. In the 34th minute, Peter Maston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Erwin Schrödinger sped through Thē Ŵhïppętś's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Romeo Lemerond. 45 minutes into the match, Purple Cobras's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Jefferies came free, but Benjamin Maylett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Thē Ŵhïppętś players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Purple Cobras were winning 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Schrödinger to make the kick off. Purple Cobras's Erwin Schrödinger was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Romeo Lemerond had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when Abraham Read from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Abraham Read sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Purple Cobras's Lee Acton got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Abraham Read had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Stu Hislop fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 77th minute, Abraham Read reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeo Lemerond. The goal made the score 0-10. In the 84th match minute, Purple Cobras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Hurst to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Thē Ŵhïppętś got a freekick which was hit by Luke Jefferies. Romeo Lemerond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Read, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
