A nice corner shot did that Igor Kyulafliyski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cesar Cambranes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute, Zane Woodyat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rio Best had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurence Perryman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jerome Canning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Perryman in the 53rd minute of play. Chip Archer hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tom Kemp, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Cesar Cambranes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rio Best, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jerome Canning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Perryman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Cambranes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Charles Bolton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Cesar Cambranes made a huge save. If Tim Hurren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Tully during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Witney City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
