After 7 played minutes, Witney City's Igor Kyulafliyski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jack Nicholson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Witney City reached it. 0-1 became the score in the 9th minute when Rio Best elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, Blyth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Valery to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes Blyth AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Kyulafliyski who took care of the corner kick. Tommy Bond was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jack Nicholson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rio Best in the 28th minute of the match. Jack Nicholson came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Witney City's Rio Best. But to his dismay, Rio Best quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Rio Best received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jack Nicholson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Edmund Ziombkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Canning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Pat Hartson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blyth AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Witney City the free kick. A collision led to Blyth AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pat Hartson hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Tim Hurren notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Blyth AFC's Jack Nicholson. Jack Nicholson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgilio Valerys short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Jerome Canning to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tim Hurren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Witney City's Rio Best sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jack Nicholson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andre Nethercott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jack Nicholson made a huge save. Tim Hurren in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jack Nicholson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jack Nicholson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Best in the 59th minute of play. With a little luck, Blyth AFC's Jack Nicholson got control of the ball when Tim Hurren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Witney City were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Blyth AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Kyulafliyski took the corner. Jack Nicholson was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Tim Hurren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tim Hurren really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 71 minutes into the match, Tim Hurren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jack Nicholson. Blyth AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Hurren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Andre Nethercott struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jack Nicholson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Witney City. A collision led to Witney City getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Chip Archer hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Rio Best dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jack Nicholson, 0-8. Tim Hurren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jack Nicholson made a huge save. Jack Nicholson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Hurren in the 87th minute. 88 minutes in the game, Andre Nethercott fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jack Nicholson having to interfere. Witney City's Jerome Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Guedes in the 91st minute of play. Jerome Canning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Blyth AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Edmund Ziombkowski hit a great ball. A hard shot 95 in the game by Tim Hurren from a close distance when the talented Jack Nicholson managed to make a qualified save. Blyth AFC's players were relieved. Witney City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
