Carlisle United's supporters rose to their feet, but 洪振义 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joshua Brumfitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, 洪振义 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Joshua Brumfitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 洪振义 in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joshua Brumfitt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ozzy Graves to strike the kick off in the second half. 洪振义 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Joshua Brumfitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 洪振义 was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joshua Brumfitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 洪振义, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlisle United were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Thē Ŵhïppętś's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 洪振义 took the corner. Mohamed Salah was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 洪振义 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joshua Brumfitt was a little too slow when 洪振义 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-5. If Ozzy Graves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Plant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 洪振义 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Brumfitt having to interfere. Joshua Brumfitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 洪振义 in the 87th minute of the match. When 洪振义 came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Carlisle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 洪振义 couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Carlisle United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Thē Ŵhïppętś throughout the match.
