With his leg Julio Bastian managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Brixton Celtics's Ferdinand Leluțiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Legia Warszawa's Julio Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Legia Warszawa from getting a goal against them. In the 17th match minute, Legia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Ingham to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Julio Bastian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Leluțiu. In the 22nd minute Janusz Pająk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leigh Smith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Ingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Damien Ingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Smith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdinand Leluțiu in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Bastian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Bastian made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ferdinand Leluțiu sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 minutes Legia Warszawa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sil Li who took care of the corner kick. Brixton Celtics's Alfonso Luyando was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Bastian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Leluțiu in the 55th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Julio Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Brixton Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Tod Griffiths. Leigh Smith was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Danny Hamilton. Julio Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Leluțiu in the 90th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Janusz Pająk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brixton Celtics's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
