Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Den Newland in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney Sparks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fraser Williams hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sidney Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Street, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jude Bonham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Lovett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darryl Barton kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Show me da Mane's Sidney Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Den Newland in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barr Point's zone, Marlon Hancock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Bonham came out of the goal and Marlon Hancock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Show me da Mane got a freekick which was hit by Garry Savage. In the 47th match minute, Show me da Mane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlon Hancock to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Den Newland to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Chris Bowler took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Sidney Sparks to make any attempt to save it. Sidney Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Bowler in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Jerry Lovett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Lovett in the 60th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Jude Bonham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Den Newland took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidney Sparks. Sidney Sparks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jerry Lovett hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Sidney Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes, Show me da Mane's Jerry Lovett shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jude Bonham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Show me da Mane reached it. Show me da Mane's Sidney Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Bowler in the 83rd minute of play. When Marlon Hancock came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Show me da Mane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marlon Hancock couldn't finish the play. Sidney Sparks came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Barr Point's Jamie Mayfield. But to his dismay, Jamie Mayfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Show me da Mane's Sidney Sparks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Show me da Mane from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barr Point walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
