Gez Short kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The Wheeliebins's Travis Nethercott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Granger in the 52nd minute of play. When Tim Holdsworth fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Śląsk Wrocław FC's protests and gave Tim Holdsworth a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of The Wheeliebins booed when Śląsk Wrocław FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Holdsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes Śląsk Wrocław FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Larry Blackwood who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice moves Murdock Askew could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Ben Ricketts however easily saved by the left post. Ben Ricketts was a little too slow when Gez Short got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Short in the 66th minute of play forced Śląsk Wrocław FC's goalkeeper Ben Ricketts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, The Wheeliebins's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Masters came free, but Travis Nethercott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
