After 20th play minutes Denny Downes shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Tommy Ellis and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Manchester Devils booed when Flying Haddocks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keiran Bell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zackary Sutherland hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Tommy Ellis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keiran Bell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Denny Downes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flying Haddocks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Denny Downes sped through Manchester Devils's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Ellis. Denny Downes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Tommy Ellis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Tristan Hopton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Ellis. Manchester Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tristan Hopton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denny Downes made a kick off. Tristan Hopton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute Keiran Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Ellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute Javier Erroman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Marston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Welsh kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Godfredo Fortun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Haddocks's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Fortun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Ellis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liam Marston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Erroman in the 68th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Manchester Devils got a freekick which was hit by Miles Husband. In the 76th minute, Keiran Bell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Manchester Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Downes came free, but Tommy Ellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Manchester Devils getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Zackary Sutherland hit a great ball. Miles Husband's late challenge caught a Flying Haddocks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Ellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Flying Haddocks's Denny Downes got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Flying Haddocks eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
