He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mark Clemence. Conan Kay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Blakeley in the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes Michael Island FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teddy Mansell who took care of the corner kick. Horfield FC's Teddy Mansell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Conan Kay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Horfield FC's Mark Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Groom in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Michael Island FC's goalkeeper Conan Kay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Blakeley. With an all-out effort, Horfield FC's Conan Kay threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marc Dennison, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
