After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Joe Kendall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Kopp came out of the goal and Joe Kendall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Reg Shilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Joe Kendall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tobias Kopp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute Joe Kendall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Kopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Nial Kirk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nial Kirk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Benji Hanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes of play, Washinkai Warriors's Joe Kendall made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Kopp was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Nial Kirk. After having played for 37 minutes, Benji Hanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Washinkai Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benji Hanson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Washinkai Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Hutchinson to maneuver through the defense. Joe Kendall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Kopp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Kendall, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Tobias Kopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Kendall in the 45th minute of play. Benji Hanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tobias Kopp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Arsenal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Washinkai Warriors were winning 0-2.

Tobias Kopp came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Washinkai Warriors's Benji Hanson. But to his dismay, Benji Hanson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Richie Postolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camron Ackland in the 59th minute of play. Arsenal FC's Nial Kirk got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Washinkai Warriors's Joe Kendall ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Kopp. Tobias Kopp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Calvin Clark hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Washinkai Warriors's Benji Hanson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Kopp. Tobias Kopp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Glenn Hutchinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Kopp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Washinkai Warriors's Joe Kendall ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Kopp. Tobias Kopp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. When Washinkai Warriors's Calvin Clark in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arsenal FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Clark during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes Washinkai Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Clark. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Washinkai Warriors walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
