Leigh Peyton hit a great ball. Frank Pearce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turabi Altınpınar in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Luton Town booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoffrey De Bougne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester City's Frank Pearce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them.
