Seating: 1975, VIP seats: 171) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Todd Griffiths got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Peter Avery got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Frank Pearce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Griffiths in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki in the 10th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Vornicu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Griffiths in the 14th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Heavenly Hooters's Pedro Luiz de Moraes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Pearce. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. 22 minutes into the game, Todd Griffiths recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frank Pearce. Todd Griffiths showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Frank Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Wright, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Collier to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Orling came free, but Lennie Rusby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Geoffrey De Bougne notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby. Lennie Rusby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Griffiths got free with Frank Pearce in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barrie Fleming hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Dan Saville fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester City's protests and gave Dan Saville a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Griffiths in the 46th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Shane Beesley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Pearce came out of the goal and Shane Beesley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manchester City's Anthony Carey was substituted for Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki. After taking down the ball on Heavenly Hooters's corner Saverio Ribeiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frank Pearce quite easily take care of the ball. Frank Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Todd Griffiths took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Pearce. Frank Pearce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Heavenly Hooters's Anacleto Bide was substituted for Adrian Collier. In the 79th match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Vornicu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Fleming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Byrne in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Pearce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Elliot Colvin got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jake Grayson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Griffiths came free, but Frank Pearce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Heavenly Hooters had won after a very even match.
