This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Tim Johnstone as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Downes in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeffrey Nevin saved Hockley AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Hockley AFC's Joseph Hubbard got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hockley AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Nevin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Austen Merchant's late challenge caught a The Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Austen Merchant helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hockley AFC's Austen Merchant got a free kick in the 20th minute. Jeffrey Nevin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rio Blewitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Jason Seagrave came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Hockley AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Seagrave couldn't finish the play. In the 26thth minute of the game Carl Downes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hockley AFC's Jeffrey Nevin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute The Tigers were awarded a corner. Rio Blewitt went to the cornerflag to take it. Jeffrey Nevin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Downes in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owen Noble in the 33rd minute of play forced Hockley AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Nevin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Hubbard came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite this Tim Johnstone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Owen Noble charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Downes to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Carl Downes could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Jeffrey Nevin however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Hockley AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Joseph Hubbard hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carl Downes in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeffrey Nevin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Tigers's Tyrone Meehan was substituted for Owen Noble. The corner ended in Jason Seagrave almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Tigers's Tim Johnstone did a great save. Jeffrey Nevin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Joy, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Trevor Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hockley AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trevor Lyons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tigers made a substitution. Jonatan Fredericksen replaced Dave Joy. The Tigers's Hayden Moore was substituted for Higinio Patxi. Tyrone Meehan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Jeffrey Nevin made a huge save. If Jason Seagrave had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hockley AFC's Stew Argent was substituted for Oliver Watson. Jeffrey Nevin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benji Murray in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jason Seagrave's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Johnstone was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Tim Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trevor Lyons in the 90th minute of the match. Leo Bell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Johnstone having to interfere.
