Nick Burns's late challenge caught a Corinthians FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nick Burns helped the player get up and apologised. 8 minutes into the game, one of Great Yarmouth:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Corinthians FC's Len Woolford got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gwyn Boyes. In the 15th minute Niceto Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Tod McCartney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Yarmouth and the Corinthians FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Tod McCartney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Len Woolford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gwyn Boyes skillfully saved the ball. Gwyn Boyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ramirez in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ramirez came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Great Yarmouth got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Murray. The supporters of Corinthians FC booed when Great Yarmouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Straker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Tod McCartney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torstein Stenseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Roy Mortimer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Great Yarmouth the free kick. The supporters of Great Yarmouth booed when Corinthians FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Mortimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francis Curtis was the one to do the kick off. Nick Burns kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Niceto Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Ramirez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gwyn Boyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Great Yarmouth's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Len Woolford was slow to take the kick. During this time Corinthians FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Stu Dunning almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Great Yarmouth's Gwyn Boyes did a great save. Francis Curtis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gwyn Boyes having to make a save. 64 minutes into the game, John Haugue was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With an all-out effort, Great Yarmouth's Torstein Stenseth threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tod McCartney, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st minute Niceto Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Hondaro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Niceto Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Francis Curtis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Corinthians FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod McCartney came free, but Torstein Stenseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damien Nicoll hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Great Yarmouth defense, Niceto Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwyn Boyes. The Great Yarmouth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwyn Boyes should have stopped the shot. Corinthians FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
