An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristram Fuller in the 21st minute of play forced Dersingham City's goalkeeper Liam Langley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilsea were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Dersingham City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kenny Dobson took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rory Downham got free with Liam Langley in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Dersingham City getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ethan Best hit a great ball. Liam Langley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rory Downham in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Tristram Fuller dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Liam Langley, 3-0. 45 minutes into the match, Dersingham City's goal looked a bit too open when Tristram Fuller came free, but Liam Langley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Marcus Scrivener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John England saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Dersingham City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Liam Langley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
