Tristram Fuller started the match with the kick off. Barney Flack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristram Fuller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, Tynemouth Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Butterworth to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Tristram Fuller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Flack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barney Flack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Downham, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Pierre Gould's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John England read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Tristram Fuller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hilsea and the Tynemouth Wanderers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Tristram Fuller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hilsea's Rory Downham in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 27 minutes of play Hilsea's Tristram Fuller was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 28th match minute, Hilsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristram Fuller to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th match minute, Hilsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Dobson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Hilsea booed when Tynemouth Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Kenna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rory Downham sped through Tynemouth Wanderers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barney Flack. Tynemouth Wanderers's attentive Jeffrey Postolan managed to snatch the ball when Marc Nelthorpe made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Christopher Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Barney Flack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Gould sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Tynemouth Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keanu Sollit to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Downham in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barney Flack prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre Gould was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Finn Maskell got free with Barney Flack in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 51st minute, Jeffrey Postolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Rory Downham notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tynemouth Wanderers's Barney Flack. Barney Flack was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the game, Hilsea's Rory Downham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barney Flack made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Rory Downham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Barney Flack when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rory Downham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barney Flack made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Rory Downham sent off a good shot on target. John England showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Gould, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Tynemouth Wanderers's Barney Flack got control of the ball when Rory Downham tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner ended in Kenny Dobson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tynemouth Wanderers's Barney Flack did a great save. In the 75th minute, Jeffrey Postolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tynemouth Wanderers's Graham Hill was substituted for Jeffrey Postolan. 77 minutes into the match, Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Barney Flack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory Downham. Barney Flack was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rory Downham showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. In the 80th minute, Christopher Gray fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 82 minutes into the match, Christopher Gray dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Barney Flack, 0-5. When Kenny Dobson fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hilsea's protests and gave Kenny Dobson a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Hilsea got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Dobson. Pierre Gould recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Rory Downham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barney Flack was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6.
