After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Gianluca Infante got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Felix Lane fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 9 played minutes Great Yarmouth got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Vine. In the 11th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwyn Boyes was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Cacá Mangione capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cacá Mangione really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Goo Goo Dolls's Cacá Mangione sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gwyn Boyes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute Cacá Mangione shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goo Goo Dolls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olimpiu Dragnea in the 19th minute. The corner led Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea to fire away a dangerous shot which Gwyn Boyes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute, Goo Goo Dolls's Cacá Mangione dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Benjamin Cuss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Bridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gwyn Boyes was a little too slow when Olimpiu Dragnea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 3-0. Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Cacá Mangione recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gwyn Boyes. Cacá Mangione showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 39 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dragnea came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Great Yarmouth getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nick Burns hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Olimpiu Dragnea sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Great Yarmouth's Gwyn Boyes didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Lane in the 43rd minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Gwyn Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod McCartney in the 45th minute of play forced Goo Goo Dolls's goalkeeper Benjamin Cuss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Cacá Mangione took the ball and in the 50 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwyn Boyes. Gwyn Boyes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Cacá Mangione recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Great Yarmouth getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Damien Nicoll hit a great ball. Felix Lane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Damien Nicoll came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Great Yarmouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Nicoll couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute Goo Goo Dolls were awarded a corner. Olimpiu Dragnea went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 63rd minute, one of Great Yarmouth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Great Yarmouth. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Goo Goo Dolls. Olimpiu Dragnea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gwyn Boyes. 6-0. Freddy Vine came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benjamin Cuss could save by the left post. Cacá Mangione took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwyn Boyes. Gwyn Boyes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Olimpiu Dragnea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gwyn Boyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krister Torstensson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Olimpiu Dragnea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gwyn Boyes skillfully saved the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dragnea came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwyn Boyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Mangione, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Mangione came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Mangione in the 92nd minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Gwyn Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwyn Boyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dragnea in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goo Goo Dolls fully deserved thier win.
