Spectators: 8403 (Terracing: 6303, Seating: 1932, VIP seats: 168) Julian Trunks made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Nottingham Forest's Ethan Bennett got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Crispin Mahon came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Nottingham Forest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Crispin Mahon couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe got control of the ball when Cléberson Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléberson Mendonça got free with Alexander Longstaffe in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the game, Cléberson Mendonça lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Alexander Longstaffe. After some careless play in the Nottingham Forest defense, Cléberson Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Longstaffe. The Nottingham Forest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Longstaffe should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 30 in the game by Cléberson Mendonça from a close distance when the talented Alexander Longstaffe managed to make a qualified save. Nottingham Forest's players were relieved. Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alexander Longstaffe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 33rd minute, Kasey Griggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Trunks in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ennio Orsini saved Clapham Rovers from getting behind. Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Nottingham Forest from getting a goal against them. Alexander Longstaffe stood somewhat misplaced when Robert Welch came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. After a rather tough play, Nottingham Forest's Dale Mansfield got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Gavin Sedgemore came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Clapham Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavin Sedgemore couldn't finish the play. Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Nottingham Forest from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute, Louis Lobb reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexander Longstaffe. The goal made the score 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléberson Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Mendonça in the 54th minute of play forced Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Alexander Longstaffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Cléberson Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Cléberson Mendonça sped through Nottingham Forest's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexander Longstaffe. João Francisco Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Nottingham Forest getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Crispin Mahon hit a great ball. Alexander Longstaffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Gibson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ennio Orsini made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Dylon Buckle sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Cléberson Mendonça put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Longstaffe. Cléberson Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Longstaffe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Toscano in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Cléberson Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Cléberson Mendonça elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Clapham Rovers's Jools Holland was substituted for Cléberson Mendonça. Alexander Longstaffe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Toscano went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Dylon Buckle kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Jools Holland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clapham Rovers and the Nottingham Forest players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jools Holland hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94thth minute of the game Jools Holland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nottingham Forest's Alexander Longstaffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Justino Arixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexander Longstaffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jools Holland in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Clapham Rovers were the better team. Clapham Rovers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
