THE POWER OF DREAMS
Spectators: 8452 (Terracing: 6340, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 169) Dersingham City's Marcus Scrivener started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SEA THE STARS's Gaz Short played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Tandy in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Howard Carpenter managed to get in a good position for a shot. SEA THE STARS's supporters rose to their feet, but Howard Carpenter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Langley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute of the match, Marlon Higginson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Liam Langley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jordan Harrison charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordan Harrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Jordan Harrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liam Langley came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by SEA THE STARS's Howard Carpenter. But to his dismay, Howard Carpenter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Fraser Tynan came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SEA THE STARS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fraser Tynan couldn't finish the play. SEA THE STARS's Gaz Short played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Tandy in the 38th minute of play. Kurt Tandy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gaz Short tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eddie Power fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SEA THE STARS's protests and gave Eddie Power a yellow card for diving instead. Eddie Power kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Marcus Scrivener scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaz Short, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Dersingham City fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Dersingham City's Marcus Scrivener looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Power in the 56th minute of play forced Dersingham City's goalkeeper Liam Langley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes of play, SEA THE STARS's Howard Carpenter made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liam Langley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaz Short showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Best, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Tandy in the 66th minute of play forced SEA THE STARS's goalkeeper Gaz Short to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Atkins lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 65th minute, one of SEA THE STARS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SEA THE STARS. If Antony Clifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SEA THE STARS's Russ Higgins got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Tandy in the 80th minute of play forced SEA THE STARS's goalkeeper Gaz Short to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SEA THE STARS's Howard Carpenter got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Scrivener could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Gaz Short made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Howard Carpenter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Dersingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan Best to maneuver through the defense. Gaz Short took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaq Kerr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
