Spectators: 8451 (Terracing: 6339, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John-Paul Whittingham started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Quinnys Disco Pants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Norton to maneuver through the defense. Ron Pina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Leme having to interfere. In the 9th minute of the match, Dean Ashton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enéas Leme was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. John-Paul Whittingham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enéas Leme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quinnys Disco Pants's zone, Slawomir Cieliczka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Leme came out of the goal and Slawomir Cieliczka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, John-Paul Whittingham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merton Albion FC's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Whittingham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enéas Leme made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Dean Ashton sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Merton Albion FC booed when Quinnys Disco Pants was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Gamble didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enéas Leme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dean Ashton in the 19th minute. Dean Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Merton Albion FC's Slawomir Cieliczka got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Dean Ashton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Leme having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Quinnys Disco Pants's goalkeeper Enéas Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dean Ashton. Martyn Haines was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. Martyn Haines kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Dominic Gamble sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurence Barraclough skillfully saved the ball. When Quinnys Disco Pants's Hernani Moco in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merton Albion FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quinnys Disco Pants's goalkeeper Enéas Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Rio Norfolk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Fuat Dicle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Barraclough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernani Moco to strike the kick off in the second half. Yan Ang charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yan Ang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yan Ang hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Luizão de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quinnys Disco Pants's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merton Albion FC the free kick. Luizão de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If John-Paul Whittingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enéas Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Paul Whittingham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Quinnys Disco Pants getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Victor Morse hit a great ball. Laurence Barraclough made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dominic Gamble in the 60th minute. Dean Ashton hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Merton Albion FC's attentive Simon Bean managed to snatch the ball when Yan Ang made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Merton Albion FC's Olly Connell was substituted for Simon Bean. In the 74th minute, Ron Pina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enéas Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 79th minute, John-Paul Whittingham made a precise shot to the right of Enéas Leme. Quinnys Disco Pants's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Merton Albion FC's Olly Connell quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Victor Morse, made in the 84th minute of the game. Enéas Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Paul Whittingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. John-Paul Whittingham struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Enéas Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merton Albion FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Merton Albion FC had played much better football throughout.
