Spectators: 8400 (Terracing: 6298, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adnan Öztay kicked off to start the match. Kris Mulford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Byron Harper made a huge save. 5 minutes into the game, Kris Mulford recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Byron Harper. Kris Mulford showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 9 minutes, Doug Howarth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RonnyFC and the Leigh AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes RonnyFC got a freekick which was hit by Doug Howarth. After 14 minutes of play, Leigh AFC's Kris Mulford made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Byron Harper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Kirk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Stone in the 17th minute of the match. Dean Southgate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Byron Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Leigh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Southgate to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Dean Southgate took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Byron Harper to make any attempt to save it. Kris Mulford might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Byron Harper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kris Mulford ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Kris Mulford notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of RonnyFC's Byron Harper. Byron Harper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to RonnyFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ian Wilkes hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adnan Öztay in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Kirk saved Leigh AFC from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute, Vince Stone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RonnyFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Vince Stone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Lucas Kirk made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, RonnyFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Mulford came free, but Byron Harper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kev Dumpleton fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RonnyFC's protests and gave Kev Dumpleton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Kev Dumpleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jermaine Senior was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Leigh AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RonnyFC:s goal. Byron Harper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Mulford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Kirk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kev Dumpleton in the 80th minute of the match. Leigh AFC made a substitution. Ricky Anson replaced Dean Southgate. Leigh AFC's James Watkins was substituted for Blair Nancy. Kristopher Byfield kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Wesley Brent kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Tod Rose struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Byron Harper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leigh AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Kristopher Byfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leigh AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Byfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Byron Harper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Kirk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Dumpleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Mannell hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute Vince Stone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Kirk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RonnyFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
