When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Leigh AFC's Andrew Colman was substituted for Kristopher Byfield. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kris Mulford to strike the kick off in the second half. Leigh AFC's Pierre Neville quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rodney Izzard, made in the 55th minute of the game. Ethan Llewellyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Lucas Kirk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Neville hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, Leigh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Neville to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Kirk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Beck in the 60th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ethan Llewellyn couldn't finish the play. The Globo Red's Jerome Niven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save The Globo Red from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, The Globo Red's Dominik Webb got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Dominik Webb hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Dave Spacey threw the ball into play from the sideline. Leigh AFC's Pedro Mannell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lucas Kirk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Beck in the 88th minute of play.
