Nathanial Pitts succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. 21 minutes into the match, Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Marler came free, but Marcus Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Åke Petersson during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute Wes Carragher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Symons in the 35th minute of play forced Gloucester City AFC's goalkeeper Danny Jumel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Hargrave struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marcus Deacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gloucester City AFC. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Idacio Ballejos was the one to do the kick off. Danny Jumel came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mayo's Idacio Ballejos. But to his dismay, Idacio Ballejos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 55th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathanial Pitts to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Idacio Ballejos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Idacio Ballejos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wes Carragher, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Gloucester City AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Will Porter came free, but Danny Jumel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Will Porter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Jumel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gloucester City AFC made a substitution.
