In the 7thth minute of the game Jamal Higgins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plaistow United's Ian Sissons was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Alf Key shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ashley Wiseman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Ashley Wiseman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Sissons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Thompson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Saville in the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Brendon Saville's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Thompson was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Key in the 30th minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Tommy Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brynn McMahon kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Saville, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Saville came free, but Tommy Thompson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Alf Key shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendon Saville in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Thompson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonny Fingers hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Piotr Malarczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Plaistow United's zone, Ashley Wiseman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Sissons came out of the goal and Ashley Wiseman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Plaistow United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brendon Saville to make the kick off. Ashley Wiseman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ian Sissons came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by FC LIVERPOOL's Atak Ferdi. But to his dismay, Atak Ferdi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The supporters of FC LIVERPOOL booed when Plaistow United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Rashleigh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Dudgeon's late challenge caught a FC LIVERPOOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francis Dudgeon helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Plaistow United got a freekick which was hit by Francis Dudgeon. Tommy Thompson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Saville in the 70th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Brendon Saville put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Thompson. Jonny Fingers was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. Jools Farrow kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The Plaistow United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Plaistow United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
