Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Tomislav Strahija successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 24 minutes into the match, Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Robson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Kentucky Fried Wings's Mao Hong Kuan to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Robson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Son van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Robson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Son van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Robson.
