Spectators: 10810 (Terracing: 8109, Seating: 2486, VIP seats: 215) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Danny Ross got the match started through his kick off. Martyn Patten came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Modernians's Txema Cerbera. But to his dismay, Txema Cerbera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Sebastien Dryden got a free kick in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Txema Cerbera in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martyn Patten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shi Hong Xiao charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shi Hong Xiao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Modernians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shi Hong Xiao to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Keith Featherstone got free with Kaur Kapten in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Txema Cerbera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Txema Cerbera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyn Patten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Thomas Stenger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyn Patten. Manchester United F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Stenger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Modernians's Txema Cerbera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martyn Patten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Thomas Stenger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Eddy Deveraux got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Txema Cerbera to strike the kick off in the second half. Txema Cerbera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Martyn Patten made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Txema Cerbera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Modernians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Ross in the 62nd minute of play forced Modernians's goalkeeper Kaur Kapten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Eddy Deveraux got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Andy Horn fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United F.C.'s protests and gave Andy Horn a yellow card for diving instead. Andy Horn hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Modernians defense, Sebastien Dryden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaur Kapten. The Modernians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaur Kapten should have stopped the shot. Martyn Patten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Stenger in the 89th minute of the match. Modernians's Sam Lunt got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martyn Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txema Cerbera in the 95th minute of play.
