The audience thought a goal was coming when Mounaim Lamine got free with Fayçal Madjer in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Ibrahim Saïfi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilal Bella. Girton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ibrahim Saïfi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to Wellesbourne City getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Souad Beloufa hit a great ball. When Mounaim Lamine came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Girton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mounaim Lamine couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Wellesbourne City's goalkeeper Fayçal Madjer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mounaim Lamine. If Mounaim Lamine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Wellesbourne City's Kylian Mezghich got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Fayçal Madjer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrir Benhelal, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Abdallah Dahou fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Girton's protests and gave Abdallah Dahou a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Nacer Malek made the kick off in the second half. If Adrir Benhelal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Girton's Mounaim Lamine in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 74 minutes, Rabah Zidane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rabah Zidane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrir Benhelal spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Wellesbourne City's goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Wellesbourne City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Girton:s goal. The referee gave Girton a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Affi Zaghloul, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wellesbourne City's Fayçal Madjer. 2-2. In the 88th minute, Nacer Malek fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 89th minute, Ibrahim Saïfi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Wellesbourne City's goal looked a bit too open when Mounaim Lamine came free, but Fayçal Madjer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wellesbourne City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
