With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azziz Boumedienne in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ghanim Radjef saved Kettering AFC from getting behind. Nasserredine Zidane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ghanim Radjef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Azziz Boumedienne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kettering AFC's Ghanim Radjef. Ghanim Radjef was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Kettering AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Azziz Boumedienne came free, but Ghanim Radjef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bani Benguesmia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lout Deghmani struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Salah Djenane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kettering AFC. After the first half Ashford were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
