Aflawas Mezghich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Windlesham's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Amara came free, but Aflawas Mezghich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Windlesham's Mahieddine Banou Attyya got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes, Stalybridge's Mourad Cherif shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aflawas Mezghich came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stalybridge reached it. Aflawas Mezghich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hocine Amara's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Ishak Benbitour made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Affi Kader sent off a good shot on target. When Djallal Hanister fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stalybridge's protests and gave Djallal Hanister a yellow card for diving instead. Windlesham's Aflawas Mezghich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hocine Amara in the 45th minute of play. Hocine Amara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aflawas Mezghich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stalybridge's Ishak Benbitour proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Stalybridge from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jawed Tlemcani made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rabie Dahleb managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stalybridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Rabie Dahleb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aflawas Mezghich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mahieddine Banou Attyya kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Jawed Tlemcani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ishak Benbitour having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jawed Tlemcani in the 63rd minute of play forced Stalybridge's goalkeeper Ishak Benbitour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Hocine Amara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stalybridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hocine Amara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Stalybridge got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Cherif. When Mahmoud Belhadj fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Windlesham's protests and gave Mahmoud Belhadj a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stalybridge booed when Windlesham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mahmoud Belhadj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stalybridge's Ishak Benbitour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Affi Kader in the 86th minute of play. Aflawas Mezghich was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Medjadi Fechtali showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 88 minute of play. Stalybridge's Ishak Benbitour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahieddine Banou Attyya in the 92nd minute of play. Aflawas Mezghich came out of the goal and Hocine Amara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Windlesham fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stalybridge were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
