Nasreddine Belkhadem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mourad Salhi made a huge save. Nasreddine Belkhadem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mourad Salhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Mokdad Zaghidour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gillingham City's supporters rose to their feet, but Mokdad Zaghidour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kendi Choaïb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nasreddine Belkhadem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nasreddine Belkhadem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kendi Choaïb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mokdad Zaghidour, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mansour Benhamou's late challenge caught a Bracknell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mokdad Zaghidour to strike the kick off in the second half. Noureddine Aziz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kendi Choaïb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Noureddine Aziz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Kendi Choaïb made a huge save. Mourad Salhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Djamel Oudin, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Mourad Salhi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nasreddine Belkhadem went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd match minute, Gillingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Habib Tlemcani to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Djamel Oudin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mourad Salhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Mokdad Zaghidour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bracknell's Djamel Oudin got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nasreddine Belkhadem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Salhi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gillingham City's zone, Djamel Oudin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mourad Salhi came out of the goal and Djamel Oudin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gillingham City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bracknell.
