Achraf Asma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Spilsby United's goal looked a bit too open when Noureddine Aziz came free, but Achraf Asma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amzar Chadl struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mourad Salhi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spilsby United. Mourad Salhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amzar Chadl's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amzar Chadl in the 31st minute of play forced Gillingham City's goalkeeper Mourad Salhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amzar Chadl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Amzar Chadl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mourad Salhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amzar Chadl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hamza Ihaddaden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mourad Salhi was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. When Abdessalem Ighil fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spilsby United's protests and gave Abdessalem Ighil a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mokdad Zaghidour in the 76th minute of play forced Spilsby United's goalkeeper Achraf Asma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Spilsby United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Abdessalem Ighil hit a great ball. Mokdad Zaghidour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spilsby United's Achraf Asma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mokdad Zaghidour in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Gillingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salim Bedjaoui to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Spilsby United's Abderrahmane Saïd tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Achraf Asma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mokdad Zaghidour in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gillingham City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
