Mouloud Abdiche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antar Bouteflika read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Amhaws Zerouali struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Antar Bouteflika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalton In Furness. Malik Zenia kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Amhaws Zerouali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antar Bouteflika having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ilfracombe City's Zidan Benhamou got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Bilal Fadhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Bilal Fadhil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Akar Chaib. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Abderazak Faudel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akar Chaib read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amhaws Zerouali to make the kick off. Akar Chaib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abderazak Faudel, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Bilal Fadhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akar Chaib having to interfere. When Bilal Fadhil came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ilfracombe City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bilal Fadhil couldn't finish the play. Bilal Fadhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akar Chaib having to interfere. Amine Reddad hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Dalton In Furness's Akar Chaib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilal Fadhil in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Bilal Fadhil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akar Chaib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilfracombe City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
