After a defensive mix-up in Turnpike Lane United's zone, Ibrahim Rabiâ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Idriss Mokdad came out of the goal and Ibrahim Rabiâ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ayachi Belghith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lunis Nekkar having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Ayachi Belghith rounded Birkenhead FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Birkenhead FC's Lunis Nekkar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Birkenhead FC from getting a goal against them. Idriss Mokdad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mounaim Meniri in the 23rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Turnpike Lane United's Lunis Nekkar threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ayachi Belghith, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ibrahim Rabiâ struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Idriss Mokdad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birkenhead FC. 37 minutes into the match, Turnpike Lane United's goal looked a bit too open when Mounaim Meniri came free, but Idriss Mokdad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayachi Belghith in the 44th minute of play forced Birkenhead FC's goalkeeper Lunis Nekkar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Ayachi Belghith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lunis Nekkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Fouad Yahlali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lunis Nekkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birkenhead FC's Lunis Nekkar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayachi Belghith in the 55th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Fouad Yahlali who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birkenhead FC's Lunis Nekkar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Birkenhead FC booed when Turnpike Lane United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Asma didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Birkenhead FC's Kylian Sermadji tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mounaim Meniri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
