Sandbach AFC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Hindley City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abderrahim Bachtarzi took the corner. Yannis Bezzaz tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Chems Saïdi-Sief. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Sandbach AFC's Idriss Nasro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelkrim Karim in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yahia Khaled prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27 minutes, Chakib Sakhri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandbach AFC and the Hindley City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chems Saïdi-Sief showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalida Benyoucef, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Akim Halimi made a kick off. Chems Saïdi-Sief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bekathen Dahmane in the 52nd minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Sandbach AFC got a freekick which was hit by Makhloufi Boumezrag. Yahia Khaled was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Abdelkrim Karim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abdelkrim Karim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Hindley City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Yahia Khaled made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akim Halimi in the 84th minute of play. Akim Halimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yahia Khaled having to interfere. Hindley City played a much better game than Sandbach AFC and deserved their victory. The Sandbach AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
