Idras Teissier's late challenge caught a Alton Towers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Idras Teissier helped the player get up and apologised. 40 minutes into the match, Horfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Hamid Brahima came free, but Abdellah Ioualalen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Ferhat Djahnine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Redouane Matmour was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmed Hamid Brahima made a kick off. If Ferhat Djahnine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. If Abdul Laref had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Redouane Matmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bassi Rodesli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Horfield AFC's zone, Ahmed Hamid Brahima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdellah Ioualalen came out of the goal and Ahmed Hamid Brahima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdellah Ioualalen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Hamid Brahima, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Abdul Laref received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Abdellah Ioualalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
