A collision led to Cleator Moor FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Zoubir Amri hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Balsall Common's Azzedine Saïfi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amawal Zakaria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aydril Khelfellah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amawal Zakaria having to interfere. In the 17th minute Balsall Common were awarded a corner. Dida Ferrah went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Balsall Common's Dida Ferrah to fire away a dangerous shot which Amawal Zakaria despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 19th minute Maamar Ouadah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faouzi Nabil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aydril Khelfellah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maamar Ouadah in the 26th minute of play forced Balsall Common's goalkeeper Faouzi Nabil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Azzedine Saïfi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Amawal Zakaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aydril Khelfellah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Amawal Zakaria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aydril Khelfellah scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amawal Zakaria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Balsall Common's Faouzi Nabil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fahim Saboundji in the 40th minute of play. Faouzi Nabil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maamar Ouadah, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Maamar Ouadah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faouzi Nabil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fahim Saboundji made a kick off. The supporters of Cleator Moor FC booed when Balsall Common was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aydril Khelfellah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdel El Ibrahimi tried in the 52nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Faouzi Nabil a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. After a rather tough play, Balsall Common's Azzedine Saïfi got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Cleator Moor FC's Fahim Saboundji in 67 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Faouzi Nabil guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Maamar Ouadah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faouzi Nabil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maamar Ouadah in the 73rd minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Aydril Khelfellah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balsall Common's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aydril Khelfellah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balsall Common's Aydril Khelfellah got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Cleator Moor FC got a freekick which was hit by Zoubir Amri. With a little luck, Balsall Common's Faouzi Nabil got control of the ball when Maamar Ouadah tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azzedine Saïfi in the 96th minute of play forced Cleator Moor FC's goalkeeper Amawal Zakaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
