Hafid Akvayli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacer Dib in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Uldale's Amri Ayad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ammuch Cixous. Ammuch Cixous yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, Thorne City's Ammuch Cixous got control of the ball when Issan Aïn Madhi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Hakim Reddad came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Uldale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakim Reddad couldn't finish the play. If Nacer Dib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Issan Aïn Madhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Amri Ayad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uldale's supporters rose to their feet, but Amri Ayad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ammuch Cixous breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ammuch Cixous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amri Ayad in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute Nacer Dib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hafid Akvayli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lamine Bouteflika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hafid Akvayli having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play, Thorne City's Nacer Dib made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hafid Akvayli was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lamine Bouteflika to strike the kick off in the second half. Hafid Akvayli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamine Bouteflika in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Amri Ayad made a precise shot to the right of Ammuch Cixous. Thorne City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The supporters of Thorne City booed when Uldale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bakezda Mekloufi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Thorne City's goal looked a bit too open when Amri Ayad came free, but Ammuch Cixous reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uldale were furious when Djamel Fadela was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Hafid Akvayli, was totally fooled by Thorne City's Yahia Bouzina, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Lamine Bouteflika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bayna Souakri fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thorne City's protests and gave Bayna Souakri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Thorne City getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bayna Souakri hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Issan Aïn Madhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ammuch Cixous. Thorne City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Issan Aïn Madhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Uldale fans cheered their team off the field, for while Thorne City had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
