The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Swindon's Rabah Bouzina got control of the ball when Buzid Djaghloul tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rabah Bouzina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tedj Benmabrouk in the 5th minute of play. Rabah Bouzina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaci El Hadi in the 9th minute. A collision led to Swindon getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Noureddine Fahima hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Salaheddine Dahleb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swindon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Okacha Madouni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mouloud Harkati went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the match, Tedj Benmabrouk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rabah Bouzina, 1-2. Tedj Benmabrouk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Bouzina having to interfere. In the 30th minute Mouloud Harkati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okacha Madouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rabah Bouzina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tedj Benmabrouk in the 33rd minute of play. If Salaheddine Dahleb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. North Petherton's Okacha Madouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mouloud Harkati in the 37th minute of play. Kaci El Hadi might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rabah Bouzina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaci El Hadi ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mouloud Harkati to strike the kick off in the second half. If Salaheddine Dahleb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabah Bouzina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tedj Benmabrouk in the 64th minute of the match. Mouloud Harkati blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okacha Madouni having to make a save. A hard shot 72 in the game by Salaheddine Dahleb from a close distance when the talented Okacha Madouni managed to make a qualified save. North Petherton's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Kaci El Hadi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rabah Bouzina was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaci El Hadi in the 82nd minute of play forced Swindon's goalkeeper Rabah Bouzina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Swindon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Swindon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
