The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horfield's Ajdir Benbrahim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sahrane Beaufort in the 13th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahaszzi Abdelcrim during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Horfield:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bromborough FC:s goal. Zyad Chedda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ajdir Benbrahim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Sahrane Beaufort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zyad Chedda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ajdir Benbrahim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Abdel El Kounya had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 27 minutes, Chafik Benyamina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horfield and the Bromborough FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chafik Benyamina kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lamine Yacine during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sahrane Beaufort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horfield's Ajdir Benbrahim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sahrane Beaufort in the 45th minute of play. Hamza Sebihi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fawzi Madouni. Bromborough FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Horfield's Hamid Drid in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bromborough FC's goalie prevented a goal. 56 minutes into the match, Bromborough FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamid Drid came free, but Fawzi Madouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hamid Drid came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Horfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Drid couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Horfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yazid Mediouna to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Iher Ezzouaoui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bromborough FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horfield the free kick. After 68 played minutes Bromborough FC got a freekick which was hit by Iher Ezzouaoui. The supporters of Horfield booed when Bromborough FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iher Ezzouaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jabar Amraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Madouni having to interfere. In the 77th minute Hamid Drid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fawzi Madouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 78th minute of the match Iher Ezzouaoui completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iher Ezzouaoui a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 79th match minute, Bromborough FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iher Ezzouaoui to maneuver through the defense. Hamid Drid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fawzi Madouni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jabar Amraoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamid Drid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Madouni having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bromborough FC's goalkeeper Fawzi Madouni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Horfield's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
