The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Shoreham by Sea United got a freekick which was hit by Rostom Kerkar. Chérif Ihaddaden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hichem Teissier got free with Chérif Ihaddaden in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Shoreham by Sea United's Chérif Ihaddaden got control of the ball when Hichem Teissier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chérif Ihaddaden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amar El Hadi in the 28th minute of play. Rostom Kerkar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abbes Haddadj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rostom Kerkar in the 34th minute of play forced Romaldkirk City's goalkeeper Abbes Haddadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amar El Hadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Chérif Ihaddaden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match Hassan Metidji shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abbes Haddadj showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 47 played minutes Shoreham by Sea United got a freekick which was hit by Joudi Mazi. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amar El Hadi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shoreham by Sea United's Chérif Ihaddaden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hichem Teissier in the 55th minute of play. Chérif Ihaddaden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amar El Hadi in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Rostom Kerkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abbes Haddadj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Tahar Banou Attyya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rostom Kerkar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbes Haddadj having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Romaldkirk City's goalkeeper Abbes Haddadj had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joudi Mazi. Hichem Teissier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Rostom Kerkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abbes Haddadj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joudi Mazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abbes Haddadj made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Joudi Mazi sent off a good shot on target. After 82 played minutes Romaldkirk City got a freekick which was hit by Akar Arouaba. Abbes Haddadj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rostom Kerkar's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Joudi Mazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbes Haddadj having to interfere. The supporters of Shoreham by Sea United booed when Romaldkirk City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tahar Banou Attyya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abbes Haddadj was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Rostom Kerkar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rostom Kerkar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Shoreham by Sea United were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
