The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adel Drioueche helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Watford FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Adel Drioueche hit a great ball. Rachid Lelouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadjib Hanin having to interfere. Nadjib Hanin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nahil Rahouli in the 21st minute of the match. Nahil Rahouli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Steeple Claydon's zone, Rachid Lelouch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nadjib Hanin came out of the goal and Rachid Lelouch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nadjib Hanin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rachid Lelouch went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Watford FC's Adel Drioueche pulled a muscle in his back after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hicham Assad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giss Ammouri went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Farid Benguergoura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farid Benguergoura in the 56th minute of play forced Watford FC's goalkeeper Hicham Assad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giss Ammouri scored 2-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hicham Assad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Farid Benguergoura came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Steeple Claydon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farid Benguergoura couldn't finish the play. Nahil Rahouli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Farid Benguergoura struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hicham Assad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steeple Claydon. In the 76th minute Farid Benguergoura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hicham Assad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hicham Assad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Farid Benguergoura, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes Watford FC got a freekick which was hit by Nahil Rahouli. Steeple Claydon were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Watford FC for a fine match.
