After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Salaheddine Kerrouche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haydock AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salaheddine Kerrouche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelkader Mazi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 7 played minutes Haydock AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sahrane Aribi. In the 20th minute, Haydock AFC's Abed Sermadji seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Abed Sermadji the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Haydock AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abed Sermadji had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Salem Korteby struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Labib Achoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romaldkirk. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samy Benguergoura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Labib Achoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kylian Belmadi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Labib Achoui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Haydock AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aziz Merniz. 59 minutes into the match, Romaldkirk's Samy Benguergoura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Labib Achoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Haydock AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Samy Benguergoura came free, but Labib Achoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Romaldkirk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Haydock AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
