In the 3rd minute, Ilford United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Belkheir Thabet fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Youcef Kherroum in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilyas Djebbour saved Rugeley from getting behind. Ilyas Djebbour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamza Sakrani, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ouali Kazi got free with Aflawas Yahia in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aflawas Yahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belkheir Thabet, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Ilford United's Abdessatar Cherrad got a free kick in the 18th minute. Youcef Kherroum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belkheir Thabet to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Ouali Kazi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rugeley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ouali Kazi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adib Guendouz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Hamza Sakrani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilford United's Aflawas Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belkheir Thabet in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ilford United's Abdessatar Cherrad got a free kick in the 98th minute.
