The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Othmane Saâdallah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mouloud Mezali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29thth minute of the game Farid Bessou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salford United's Anas Aounellah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Littlehampton booed when Salford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Dali Bey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Farid Bessou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Salford United's Anas Aounellah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Salford United from getting a goal against them. Anas Aounellah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Riyah in the 41st minute. If Bassi Hanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Farid Bessou to make the kick off. Farid Bessou took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anas Aounellah. Anas Aounellah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Salford United booed when Littlehampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afellan Ali didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mouloud Mezali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Littlehampton getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Afellan Ali hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Littlehampton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sahrane Kholt to maneuver through the defense. Othmane Saâdallah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bassi Hanin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farid Bessou in the 81st minute of play forced Salford United's goalkeeper Anas Aounellah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salford United's Bassi Hanin got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bassi Hanin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Othmane Saâdallah having to make a save. Othmane Saâdallah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bassi Hanin in the 93rd minute of play. Anas Aounellah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Farid Bessou's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Salford United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
