Abdenour Djebar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Amjad Abdelcrim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 13 minutes, Hamdane Lemoui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitwell and the Altrincham United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hamdane Lemoui kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Abdelkader Liegeon was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Hamdane Lemoui was shown his second yellow card after 15 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Fayçal Zidane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Addas Salhi's late challenge caught a Altrincham United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Whitwell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rabah Rimitti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Whitwell's Abdenour Djebar got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Altrincham United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ilyas Boukirat hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Altrincham United's zone, Abdenour Djebar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amjad Abdelcrim came out of the goal and Abdenour Djebar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fayçal Zidane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abdelkader Liegeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Whitwell's Azzad Zaghloul got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Abdelkader Liegeon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fayçal Zidane, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 76th minute, Fayçal Zidane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abdelkader Liegeon. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 80th minute, Altrincham United's Fayçal Zidane ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abdelkader Liegeon. Abdelkader Liegeon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Fayçal Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelkader Liegeon having to interfere.
