In the 23rd minute, Ilyas Abdenouz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Evesham's zone, Belgacem Benikhlef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zahid Oudin came out of the goal and Belgacem Benikhlef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belgacem Benikhlef in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zahid Oudin saved Evesham from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Evesham's Aberkane Betroni got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Belgacem Benikhlef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zahid Oudin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdel Hamid Ziani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Assad Baroudi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelkader Halimi in the 36th minute of play. When Evesham's Abdelkader Halimi in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes in the game, Farid Belmadi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zahid Oudin having to interfere. If Belgacem Benikhlef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilyas Abdenouz in the 44th minute of play forced Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC's goalkeeper Assad Baroudi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Ilyas Abdenouz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evesham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilyas Abdenouz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdelkader Halimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Evesham were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belgacem Benikhlef to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC's Belkacem Allam got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Djabir Ghanem fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Evesham's protests and gave Djabir Ghanem a yellow card for diving instead. Djabir Ghanem hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Evesham's Zahid Oudin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farid Belmadi in the 66th minute of play. Hikmet Djamel charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hikmet Djamel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hikmet Djamel to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belgacem Benikhlef in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zahid Oudin saved Evesham from getting behind. After 75 played minutes Evesham got a freekick which was hit by Hakim Kader. Belgacem Benikhlef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zahid Oudin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farid Belmadi in the 84th minute of play forced Evesham's goalkeeper Zahid Oudin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC's Farid Belmadi made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zahid Oudin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC's Belgacem Benikhlef got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilyas Abdenouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Assad Baroudi having to interfere. The supporters of Evesham booed when Newcastle-upon-Tyne AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ajdir Amri didn't get a good kick on the ball.
