But to his dismay, Messaoud Arrache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Thamesmead's zone, Hosni Adjani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yassine Kourichi came out of the goal and Hosni Adjani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hatim Ferrah struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Yassine Kourichi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilford. Messaoud Arrache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nawfel Ghazi charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nawfel Ghazi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nawfel Ghazi hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Messaoud Arrache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akatelaji Mazari was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hosni Adjani got free with Yassine Kourichi in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Badda Hamrouche hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Nawfel Ghazi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Thamesmead's Yassine Kourichi did a great save. After 41 minutes, Badda Hamrouche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thamesmead and the Ilford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Badda Hamrouche hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Hosni Adjani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Yassine Kourichi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Thamesmead getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Badda Hamrouche hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Messaoud Arrache to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hosni Adjani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Thamesmead's goal looked a bit too open when Hosni Adjani came free, but Yassine Kourichi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akatelaji Mazari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Messaoud Arrache in the 76th minute of play. If Hosni Adjani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hatim Ferrah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nacer Merah's late challenge caught a Ilford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nacer Merah helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Thamesmead fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! In the 92nd minute, Hosni Adjani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Yassine Kourichi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amine Faudel in the 97th minute of the match. Hatim Ferrah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Yassine Kourichi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
