The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abdellatif Baboudji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cottingham FC's Ishak Ezzouaoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdellatif Baboudji in the 5th minute of play. Ishak Ezzouaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghani Hadfi in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Nadji Diafat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carlin How's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cottingham FC the free kick. Cottingham FC's Bahnini Messayeb shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zizou Fillali but with some difficulty. The supporters of Carlin How booed when Cottingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nacer-Eddine Touati didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdellatif Baboudji in the 24th minute of play forced Cottingham FC's goalkeeper Ishak Ezzouaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdellatif Baboudji scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ishak Ezzouaoui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zizou Fillali made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Boumedienne Belhadj sent off a good shot on target. Ghani Hadfi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Carlin How's Zizou Fillali got control of the ball when Boumedienne Belhadj tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismet Djeziri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Zizou Fillali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Boumedienne Belhadj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismet Djeziri in the 41st minute of play forced Carlin How's goalkeeper Zizou Fillali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Taha Oussar fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carlin How's protests and gave Taha Oussar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Carlin How was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taha Oussar to maneuver through the defense. Zizou Fillali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismet Djeziri in the 46th minute of the match. Ghani Hadfi took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ishak Ezzouaoui. Ishak Ezzouaoui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Cottingham FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carlin How were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismet Djeziri to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismet Djeziri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ghani Hadfi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ishak Ezzouaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ghani Hadfi came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Carlin How fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghani Hadfi couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Carlin How booed when Cottingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baligh Makhloufi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baligh Makhloufi took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zizou Fillali. Zizou Fillali dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ghani Hadfi got free with Ishak Ezzouaoui in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ghani Hadfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Abdellatif Baboudji came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Carlin How fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdellatif Baboudji couldn't finish the play. Ghani Hadfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ishak Ezzouaoui having to interfere. Abdellatif Baboudji struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ishak Ezzouaoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlin How. Ismet Djeziri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zizou Fillali having to interfere. If Boumedienne Belhadj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Carlin How eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
