Scawsby's Samy Khalef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Scawsby from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anis Guendouz in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mansour Benali saved Wivenhoe from getting behind. In the 15th minute Raïd Alemdar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mansour Benali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rostom Belloumi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samy Khalef having to interfere. Araslane El Kebir hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Wivenhoe's goal looked a bit too open when Anis Guendouz came free, but Mansour Benali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rostom Belloumi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Samy Khalef made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rostom Belloumi got free with Samy Khalef in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nacer Kerrache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Samy Khalef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wivenhoe's zone, Anis Guendouz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mansour Benali came out of the goal and Anis Guendouz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Samy Khalef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacer Kerrache in the 51st minute of the match. If Anis Guendouz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacer Kerrache charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nacer Kerrache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Scawsby booed when Wivenhoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nacer Kerrache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rostom Belloumi might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samy Khalef. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rostom Belloumi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scawsby's goalkeeper Samy Khalef, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Raïd Alemdar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anis Guendouz in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mansour Benali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anis Guendouz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mansour Benali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
