Ali Hemdani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bassim Kherroum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Barnstaple FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Hemdani came free, but Bassim Kherroum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Shobdon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barnstaple FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Hemdani made a kick off. Kader Riyah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Messaoud Gallaire having to interfere. Kader Riyah succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 64th playminute. Florian Tellidji struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Messaoud Gallaire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnstaple FC. Barnstaple FC played a much better game than Shobdon and deserved their victory. The Shobdon players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
